Mr. Sanders

I can not wait till basketball season. I have some really cool ideas for what I want to do and how I want to document the games. I think I have such a love for taking photos of basketball because I played. I spent hours practicing and trying to perfect every aspect of my game. Anyone who plays a sport with a passion understands (to some level) what collegiate level athletes do to get there. While shooting a game I do my best to capture the players on a personal level more than just the action they perform. There are so many emotions that come with a basketball game. The players show emotion, the coach, and the students rallying around our school. I just want basketball back.

With Larry Sanders leaving I decided I would blog about the talent this kid had. He was huge. His long arms and tall body made him a force to opposing teams. He was known for his blocks, his dunks, and his ability to lift his team. All of VCU would have loved to see Larry stay, but sadly he left. He will be missed. I have posted photos of Larry, I am not a creep I promise. Larry created some great photos for me.
